Training on “Exploring Trade Finance & Letter of Credit (LC) Management” held at ICMAB.

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organized a training session titled “Exploring Trade Finance & Letter of Credit (LC) Management” on Friday, September 08, 2023. The session was held at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium in Nilkhet, Dhaka. It was specially designed and articulated for the students of ICMAB to sharpen their knowledge and skills in doing and handling the Export-Import business efficiently and successfully.

The four-hour training session was conducted by Ms. Nasrin Bintey Nazim, ACMA, First Assistant Vice President, Trade Service Division of Trust Bank, as a resource person. Around 230 students of the Institute participated in the training course, both physically and virtually. The resource person’s work experience was reflected in the training session, and the trainees’ spontaneous participation made the training session an enjoyable event. The training session ended with a Q&A session among the participants. 

Mr. Md. Maksudur Rahman FCMA, Chairman of the professional Diversity-Supply Chain Committee and Council Member of ICMAB delivered a welcome statement. In his speech, he especially thanked the Students Affairs Committee and the Training Committee for arranging the training on such a burning topic. He also thanked all the students of the Institute present at the event.  

At the end of the session Mr. Zahangir Alam FCMA, Chairman of the Students Affairs Committee and Council Member of ICMAB delivered a brief speech. In his deliberation, he highlighted how important this type of training is for professionals like CMAs. He thanked Ms. Nasrin Bintey Nazim, ACMA, who engaged participants with his resourceful presentation, interaction and discussion. 

Finally, the institute’s president, Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA delivered his valuable speech. In his deliberation, he appreciated all the participants for their involvement. He thanked them for sparing their valuable time for the training session from where they will gain practical knowledge and new innovative ideas. At the end of the program, Mr. Rahman handed over a token gift to the resource person.
