Meet the Members Program for Discussion on Professional Matters

With a view to keep the members of the Institute updated on the ongoing developments and to drive professional development initiatives more effectively with valuable opinions of respected members, ICMAB arranged the “Meet the Members program for discussion on professional matters” at 7:00 p.m. on September 07, 2023 at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, Nilkhet, Dhaka.

At the outset, the President on behalf of the council expressed his sincere gratitude to the honourable members of the Institute for keeping faith on them in 18^th Council election and giving the opportunity to serve the profession for the three years term during 2023-2025. He thanked the members for their spontaneous expression of interest for including themselves in 38 Other Committees and serving our beloved Institute through their active participation with utmost dedication in these committees.

The President of the Institute Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA in his speech informed the members that the office bearers along with all the members of the 18^th Council and all the committee members have been working with fullest dedication, commitment and passion and remained fully focused to achieve the vision of our Institute.

He then gave a presentation on the last eight month’s activities of the 18^th Council and stated that the present council, on average organized two events in every three days during last eight months period including holding 9 council meetings, 23 standing committee meetings, 57 other committee meetings and organizing 71 internal and external events. In addition, 30 different letters were sent from ICMAB to different agencies of the government and regulatory bodies on various professional matters including implementation of cost audit and expansion of practicing opportunities of CMA profession in Bangladesh. President also made a documentary presentation regarding the physical visits and meetings attended by the ICMAB delegates with top officials of the government and the regulators for further strengthening our profession in Bangladesh and around the globe.

Auditorium full members of the Institute attended the program physically while more than 100 members joined the program in virtual platform from home and abroad with full enthusiasm. A good number of respected members shared their views and opinions on professional matters during the one-hour long Q&A session. The President humbly answered and clarified different queries raised by respected members in the discussion program.
