ICMAB is a founder member of IFAC
. The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is the worldwide organization for the accountancy profession. Its mission is the worldwide development and enhancement of the profession, with harmonized standards, to enable it to provide services of consistently high quality in the public interest. International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) of IFAC pronounce the International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC)
is an independent private sector body, with the objective of achieving uniformity in the accounting principles which are used by business and other organizations for financial reporting around the world. International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) of IASC pronounces the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA)
represents national accountancy organization in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, CAPA has membership of 30 national accountancy organizations in 21 countries.
South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA)
, a non-political organization of autonomous institutes of accounting bodies of SAARC countries, like other International Accounting Bodies, aims to initiate, co-ordinate and guide in achieving technical, ethical and educational guidelines for the profession to work towards international recognition of the qualifications offered by the accountancy bodies of the region.
Through energetic participation in the activities of these bodies, the ICMAB is playing its due role in the development of management accounting globally.
