South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), to which ICMAB is a member, is going to observe the 10th November as Accounting Day in SAFA countries. To celebrate this event, professional accounting organizations in SAFA countries are organizing different programs. In this context ICMAB is going to hold a Quiz and Elocution Contest during November 2018 under the following terms and conditions:
a) Areas for quiz contest are –
i) IFRS 12;
ii) IFRS 13;
iii) Arms Length Price and Transfer pricing.
b) Selected themes for elocution contest are –
i) Reporting Obligation of an Auditor and key Audit Matter;
ii) Technology Trends and its impact on Global Accountancy profession;
iii) Accountancy Profession: Working to strengthen economies.
c) Students may participate in any of the tests or both at individual capacity
d) Only the students of ICMAB who has passed at least 400 marks are eligible to participate
e) In quiz tests, students need to appear in test with multiple choice questions within the selected areas as mentioned in a) above.
f) In elocution contest, students are required to give a public speech for 10 minutes before the audiences and jury. They can speak on any theme of their choice as selected in b) above.
g) The winners of the contest will be awarded.
It is also important to note that the winners of the contest will also enjoy the preference for institutional nomination to participate in a similar contest which will be organized by SAFA in its SAFA 2019 Conference to be held during January 2019.
