Discussion and demonstration session on Employment Gateway

We have the pleasure to inform you that the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), the statutory autonomous body under the Cost and Management Accountants Act, 2018, offers education and training to the students interested to pursue well recognized professional Cost and Management Accountancy degree. As per the Government’s Financial Reporting Act, 2015 there are only two professional accountancy bodies in the country – one is the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (known as CMAs i.e. Cost and Management Accountants) and the other is the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (known as CAs i.e. Chartered Accountants).

The CMAs of the Institute are known as Associate of Cost and Management Accountants (ACMA) and Fellow of Cost and Management Accountants (FCMA). The CMA professionals are working in senior and mid level positions in different organizations/ enterprises of government, autonomous, multinationals and private sector companies at home and abroad. Through their operational excellence the CMAs are capable of bringing efficiency in the organization thereby making it profitable and they have established themselves as important members of the top level strategic team to drive business growth.

The ICMAB is an active member of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). ICMAB maintains highest level of professional standards at all of its education and training activities. ICMAB follows international standard course curriculum in line with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of UK and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA). 

The Institute actively assists Government by providing suggestions and comments on national budget, tax, VAT and other fiscal policies. The Institute is also actively involved in securities and stock exchange rules, review and adopting International Accounting Standards (IAS), etc. The Institute keeps its members and students abreast with the latest developments in the accounting profession through research, organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, discussion sessions, continuing professional development (CPD) programs for the members regularly.

As a part of our efforts to provide the right CMAs to the right corporate sectors ICMAB has launched an Employment Gateway linked with ICMAB website. This gateway would help the HR personnel and consultants to find out the right CMAs for their organizations and clients. You can find CVs of your requirement by sorting in different criteria such as: by Age Group, Gender, Educational Qualification, Areas of Expertise, Professional Qualification and length of experience, etc. In order to make this job portal familiar to the prospective employers and head hunters ICMAB has arranged for a discussion session on role of CMAs as a corporate executives and demonstration on use of the newly launched job portal on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, Nilkhet, Dhaka.
