The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) hold a Post-Budget Discussion Session on National Budget 2008-2009 on July 10, 2008 at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, Nilket, Dhaka.
Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud, former Adviser of former Cartaker Government of Bangladesh was present as Chief Guest. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Chairman, Unnayan Shamannay and Mr. M. A. Baree, FCA, Past President, ICAB were present at the occasion as Special Guests.
Mr. Zahir Uddin Ahmed, FCMA, President of the Institute presided over the discussion session. Mr. A. K. M. Delwer Hussain, FCMA past President of ICMAB gave welcome address and Mr. Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam, FCMA, Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
Mr. Md. Shaifur Rahman Mazumdar, FCMA, Chairman, Chittagong Branch Council, ICMAB presented the technical paper in the Discussion Session.
Various aspects of this national budget was highlighted in the discussion session to uphold the significance of the national economy and employment opportunities.
Eminent Scholars and Professionals of the country also took part in the discussion session. Members of the Institute holding responsible positions in different organizations and students of the Institute participated in the discussion.
