Invitation to participate in the Workshop to be held on June 5, 2008 |
Dear Member,
We have the pleasure to inform you that the Institute has decided to hold a Workshop on "Counterparty Credit Rating under BASEL II – A Challenge for Finance Managers" on June 5, 2008 at 5.00 p.m. at ICMA Bhaban, Nilkhet, Dhaka.
Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed, FCMA, Past President & Council Member, ICMAB and President and CEO, Credit Rating Information and Services Ltd. will present the technical paper at the Workshop as Resource Person. Kazi Mahmood Sattar, President, Association of Bankers Bangladesh Ltd. & Managing Director of The City Bank Limited has kindly consented to grace the occasion as Session Chairman.
It is with profound delight and honour I would like to inform you the World Bank Operations Adviser Mr. Mohammed Alhousseyni TOURE has kindly consented to be present in the Workshop as the Guest of Honour. During our recent project review meeting with ERD & the World Bank he has shown keen interest for the development of our profession and assured us of Word Bank help in this regard. I would expect our members in large number to be present at the workshop and welcome our guests.
The topics of Workshop will provide immense benefits to the participants as you know, in case of borrowing from banks, credit rating will be mandatory from 2009 . It is, therefore, necessary for the Finance Managers to know the technique of credit ratings. I, on behalf of the Institute, therefore, invite you kindly to participate in the above Workshop and make the program successful. We strongly feel that the discussion to be held and the materials to be supplied in the workshop would enrich your knowledge and would update you on the subjects. Registration Fees of the program are:
· Members of ICMAB (individual capacity) @ Tk. 200.00
· Organizational Participants @ Tk. 2,000.00
Last date for receiving the filled-up Registration Form along with registration fee is June 03, 2008. The fees may be paid by cheque/pay order/demand draft, etc. drawn in favour of ICMAB or in cash. Kindly fill-up the Registration Form attached herewith and send the same to the Executive Director of the Institute along with the registration fees within the scheduled date.
We also confirm that 4 (four) hours CPD credit will be given for attending the program. Members of the Institute are encouraged to arrange their registration from their organization instead of own capacity.
