ICMAB delegation called on Commerce Secretary

A delegation of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) headed by its President Mr. ABM Shamsuddin, FCMA called on Mr. Feroz Ahmed, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh at his office on February 19, 2009.

The ICMAB President apprised the Commerce Secretary about the role of Cost and Management Accountants and their contribution towards the establishment of transparency, accountability and corporate governance in the business and industrial sectors of our country.  He also sought active guidance and support of Commerce Secretary for development of CMA Profession and ICMAB Institute. 
 
The Commerce Secretary appreciated the increased role of Cost and Management Accountants for the establishment of good governance, transparency, accountability and financial discipline in the business and industrial sectors of the country. He also assured all possible help and assistance for the development of the Institute as well as the CMA profession.

Among the delegates Past President, Mr. AKM Delwer Hussain, FCMA, Secretary Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin Akond, FCMA, Treasurer Mr. Md. Abdur Rashid, FCMA, Past President & Council Member Mr. Zahir Uddin Ahmed, FCA, FCMA and Executive Director of the Institute Mr. M. A. Matin, FCMA were present in the meeting.
