ICMAB International Seminar on 'Cost Audit-an Effective Tool of Corporate Governance' held

Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB)
organized an International Seminar on “Cost Audit— an Effective Tool of
Corporate Governance” which was held on May 10, 2009 at
Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, Dhaka.
The ICMAB Convocation 2009 held today, the June 21, 2009 at 12:30 a.m.
at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka. ICMA
Bangladesh is the only national Institute engaged and dedicated in imparting
training and education offering highest professional degree in cost and
management accountancy.
ICMAB HELD CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) PROGRAM
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organized a 2 day long CPD Program on July 30-31, 2009 at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, Nilkhet, Dhaka. The Inaugural Session of the CPD Program was held on July 30, 2009 at 6.00 p.m. Mr. Mohammad Faruk Khan, M.P., Hon’ble Minister for Commerce, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh inaugurated the CPD Program as Chief Guest while Mr. Feroz Ahmed, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh also attended the program as Special Guest.
TheInstitute of Cost and Management Accountants of
Bangladesh (ICMAB) introduced ICMAB Best Corporate Performance Award in
2007 with a view to encouraging the corporate world to act more responsibly and
publish informative and transparent reports.
Like previous year this year the Institute also
selected best corporate houses in four sectors viz Banking, Non-banking
Financial Institutions, Insurance and Pharmaceuticals sectors.“ ICMAB Best
Corporate Performance Award-2008” was given to the winners in a cermonial function held on 24th October, 2009 at Harmony Hall,
Bangabhandu International Conference Centre, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
